The first photovoltaic farm built by OX2 in Poland, Rutki (Opolskie Voivodeship) with a capacity of 100 MWp, has received a license from the Energy Regulatory Office for electricity generation for a period of 20 years. The Rutki PV farm is the first project that OX2 is implementing as an independent power producer (IPP).
The investment is located in the Niemodlin commune, in the Opolskie Voivodeship, in south-western Poland, covering an area of 78 hectares. The Rutki PV farm will produce approximately 108 GWh of electricity annually, which will power approximately 30,000 households.
“We are pleased to announce that with the ERO decision, the Rutki farm has received formal approval for electricity generation, which represents another step for the development and strengthening of OX2’s operations in Poland. The Rutki photovoltaic farm is our first IPP project in the OX2 group. We are particularly proud that it was implemented in Poland. The license we received is valid until 2045. I am confident that during this time we will supply the Polish power system with plenty of green gigawatts” – says Tomasz Guzowski, President of OX2 Poland.
OX2 has been investing in solar energy development since 2018. From the entire portfolio of such projects in the OX2 group, the first one is the Rutki photovoltaic farm, whose full operation is planned for 2025.
